This Hacker Guide will serve as the primary resource for all things DubHacks-related, so please read this page in its entirety and check back often for updates!

Rules 💌

1. Be kind and respectful.
2. Any projects submitted must be started and completed during the duration of DubHacks ‘24.
3. Please wear your DubHacks badges at all times. This is your ticket to building entry.
4. 4 hackers maximum per team (anything less including 1 is okay but we encourage finding a full team as you can get a lot more done with 4 people!)
5. Only submit to DubHacks '24 — projects that submit to other hackathons will be disqualified
6. All code must be uploaded BEFORE the deadline and linked to Devpost — project demos with a working product yet have no code uploaded will be disqualified. The recommend way to upload code is to a PUBLIC Github repository
7. Public frameworks and libraries are allowed, but submitting mostly copied code will result in project disqualification. We run of the 70-30 rule, where AT MOST 30% of your code can be code not written during the hackathon, and AT LEAST 70% of the code must be yours, written during this hackathon.
8. Each hacker is only allowed to be a part of and create one project during this hackathon.
9. There is to 1 title track and 4 sponsor tracks you can submit to.
10. Anything presented at judging should only be worked on from 12:30 PM on Saturday to 10:30 AM on Sunday.
    • There should be no coding or building before 10:30 AM on Saturday.
      • However you can ideate beforehand with your team!
11. Judging will be in-person expo-style; you must have 1 person be present at judging to qualify for a prize.

A non-exhaustive checklist of how to prepare for DubHacks:

• [ ] Find a team to work with! Attend our Team Formation event, use the Hacker Profile, and use the #intros Discord channel. [Optional]
